Participation of the President in state events on the anniversary of invincibility

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he plans to meet China's leader Xi Jinping to discuss Beijing's proposals on ending the war in Ukraine.

Speaking on the first anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion, he said the proposal signalled that China was involved in the search for peace.

"I really want to believe that China will not supply weapons to Russia," he said.

In his recent speech to the nation, Putin once again characterized the Ukrainian govt as being Nazis. And you think Zelensky calling Putin "sick" is objectionable compared to that?

in face of chinese peace negotiations, what would be world's reaction to Xi taking selfie with Mao, or Putin with Stalin and publishing them on official social media pages of their parliaments?

But Ukrainian's commander-in-chief Zalouzhny selfie with thumb up with portrait of fascist Bandera was published on 1st January on tweeter of ukrainian Verkhovna Rada, an ukrainian parliament.

He is the second senior ukrainian official, after Zelensky.

Zalouzhny has not apologised. He might be neo-fascist.

He was not dismissed for that scandal, not any reaction from Zelensky or any other ukrainian politician.

Putin has the right to call members of ukrainian state authorities fascists.

"The celebration was marked silently, but it still managed to trigger yet another controversy around the past with Poland. It originated with the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian Parliament, tweeting a photo of the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian armed forces, Valeri Zaloujny, giving the thumbs-up next to a portrait of Bandera to celebrate what would have been his 114th birthday."

This is not a competition but if it were then Russian top officials would win hands down with the rhetoric.

Russia's former president says Ukraine might not 'even exist on the world map' in 2 years in latest genocidal message

That former official is a goner, not involved in the present government policies.

In contrary, Zalouzhny is still an acting commander chief and he still holds neo-fascist views, thus would be influencing Zelensky's talks to Xi and Putin.

He should be dismissed from service. In the other countries he would be prosecuted, but not in Ukraine.

Dmitry Medvedev is deputy chair of the security council which coordinates and integrates national security policy.

"Composed of Russia's top state officials and heads of defence and security agencies and chaired by the president of Russia, the SCRF acts as a forum for coordinating and integrating national security policy"

Now provide a link to your claim he is not involved in present government policies and that he is not a top official.

does he has on mind peace talks with china help on his own conditions?

"Zelenskiy open to China’s peace plan but rejects compromise with ‘sick’ Putin"

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/feb/24/zelenskiy-open-to-chinas-peace-plan-but-rejects-compromise-with-sick-putin

That's not how to start genuine ceasefire calling the opposite side "sick", it won't go nowhere. It's just posturing, muscle flexing, that is not how diplomacy works. Zelensky is below level china works internationally, that is long term and stable relationships.

Xi is invited this year to Moscow, but whether he will meet Zelensky personally before that is very questionable. Talks between leaders start with meetings at lower diplomatic levels, ambassador to Kiev to start with. And there are not such happening yet.

So Zelensky is just acting, his political carrier comes from tv comedy show. Still comedian he is

On the other hand, why would anyone trust China?

Your cover is leaking…

He didn’t. It’s either thoughtless or deliberate propaganda. I don’t even think he mentioned Putin, but the leadership.

“He recalled how Ukrainians “didn’t run to Russian troops with flowers” when they came across the border a year ago and instead greeted them with weapons. Russia had turned from a “neighbour and friend” into a prodigious murderer that “killed and tortured people”, and abducted children, he said.

“Do you think we can sit and negotiate with them after this?” he asked. “They need to stop shelling us, destroying infrastructure, launching airstrikes, killing animals and burning forests”

What China hopes to get out of this is a Korean-like ceasefire, where all the Western countries pay to rebuild both Ukraine and the occupied Russian zones and China just happens to be the winning bidder for all the projects. Thus China advances into controlling yet another region of the globe and Americans pay for it.

So it wont become one of Haliburtons cash-cows?

Zelensky trusted Bennett, but at the end declined meeting putin.
He refused mediation by vatican and even reprimanded their ambassador.

Several presidents also have tried , including erdogan and most recently Lula.
Now he wants to try Xi, possibly his only and the last chance. Thats why.
Role of mediator is to fascilitate and guarantee the deal. China has declared help. That is the second superpower, the USA are part in this conflict.

If Zelenskyy wants to meet, it is to stop China sending weapons to Russia. If China is even considering sending weapons to Russia, it cannot be seen as a peace broker. So any posts alluding to them being so are abjectly disingenuous.
