Daily News Thai Caption: Why the taps ran dry

Police in Bang Khun Thian, Thonburi, western Bangkok, have found the culprit responsible for causing many householders to have no water supply.

It was a 21 year old thief responsible for the theft of more than 200 water meters in the area.

Adithep admitted that he was addicted to online gaming and had to visit internet cafes every day to fuel his addiction, reported Daily News.

He was charged with theft at night with some meters, clothes and a hammer taken into evidence by the cops.

Just how much is a second hand water meter worth on the black market?

We had our water meter stolen several years ago. I asked the same question at our local police station. The officer replied the going rate was one yabaa tablet for one meter.

As much as a new one to a guy installing them on a project! I have seen them vanish from outside neighbours homes quite a number of times. Mine is encased in a cube of concrete!

I've had mine nicked before as well

It doesn't matter to a thief. Anything is more than nothing... It's free money only cost is risk. Rationale not considered

Why would a thief steal a backpack? Yes, could be** money inside but highly doubtful.

Why would a person steal a phone in 2023??
