what kind of person sells a new car after a year and takes that kind of financial loss?

Someone who likes to have a new car every year and can afford it.

People who are business savvy are focused on making money, saving money and investing money.

In your world is anyone allowed to spend their money, delight in their purchases and enjoy their life?

People who are focused on spending money and showing you how rich they are tend not to be very financially smart, let's put it that way

What a load of baloney! Good grief, you have got some very strange ideas. Jealous much?

Please explain.????

Not seeing much difference between M3 & Yaris.  Notable L of Swift is obvious, but that's about it.

Wiki states classification by interior space, though you have to wonder, about the M3 & Yaris being different.  All of 5 cm or less L W H

Yeah that's what I'm try to get across and those silly class titles don't mean much, sitting in a car is the way and can lay down fully stretched in a Camry. ????

There's also ‘more car around you’ in the Mazda 3 than the Swift, so interior space is not the only factor I’d be considering... Safety is also... I’d rather be in a Mazda 3 in a smash than a Swift... upping that I’d rather be in a Camry or Accord than the Mazda 3....

A 2015 CRV also fits the ‘something larger’ that the Op may be interested in...

Do not buy a used car from Bangkok. It could have been stuck in traffic for hundreds of hours. Think about why the owner wanted to sell the car. There is always a reason. Be careful with the book history, also often changed.

You mean like a reason such as they just wanted a new car ???

Thats generally the reason the vast majority of people sell their car.

There are plenty of decent cars around....  The suggestion above is ridiculous.

What exactly is so damaging about a modern car sat idling at lower revs than travelling down a highway ?...

The mileage is not very indicative of the wear on the engine.

A lot of the cars sold in Bangkok are on a provincial number plate.
