Hello all. I will be returning to Chiang Mai in April. I usually stay for 2 months , but this time intend to stay for 3 months. Would it be easier to get a 90 day visa in the UK (if possible) or should i get my usual 60 day visa , and extend it once i arrive ?.  If so . how do i best do this. Also , do i book the return flight the same time as the outbound flight. Ie , up to 90 days later. Im concerned if i dont get the extra 30 day extension , i will have to re_book the return flight. Many thanks.

Do you mean you are coming in visa exempt?

In the previous years i got a 60 day tourist visa from Thai embassy in London , by post. Can i do this again except for 90 days , or just get a 60 day tourist visa again , then extend once in TH.

There is no 90 day tourist visa, whoever told you that owes you a case of beer. Single-entry tourist visa (SETV) is 60 days, extendable once for 30 days.

It's online now...

the extension should be a formality. one thing to bear in mind is that some offices want to see a TM30 for the extension so you might need to ask the hotel you're staying at to take a screenshot from their computer and print it out or email it to you.
