The Thai Embassy in London issued a statement early this morning (Wednesday) that warned Thais living or travelling to Northern Ireland to take especial care.

This followed the raising of the security level in that part of the UK from "substantial" to "severe" - meaning that a terrorist attack could be imminent, reported Thai Rath.

Thais were warned to be on their guard and tell police about any suspicions.

They were also advised to follow the news closely and contact the Thai Embassy in London via phone or email with concerns.

This followed a domestic intelligence assessment of the security situation in the UK based on attacks on police in the area in recent months that suggested children and the public could be at risk in Northern Ireland.

The actual UK Government advice is "The public should remain vigilant, but not be alarmed"

What utter BS. They feel the need to tell us there's a severe risk of terrorist attacks, but it's ok, don't be alarmed.

When are we supposed to get alarmed.........when the bombs start going off?

Perfectly OK to visit NI......just avoid being in close proximity to any policemen.

"Deputy Chief Constable Mark Hamilton said dissident republicans were focused on attacking police officers, not the public."

"I wouldn't encourage people to be hugely concerned about their own safety broader than that."

How bad is it going to get in the UK before something actually changes?

"The agreement reached was that Northern Ireland was part of the United Kingdom, and would remain so until a majority of the people both of Northern Ireland and of the Republic of Ireland wished otherwise."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Friday_Agreement

Until demographic change in Ulster results in a majority of the people voting for reunion with the other 3 provinces.

Should the majority in the other 3 vote for reunion there will likely be a short civil war in Ulster, war being what Protestant Fuhrer Edward Carson threatened, pre-WW1, when Home Rule was first mooted by the UK  Government.

It was inevitable that it would come sooner or later.

The Treaty merely delayed it.

Ireland was first into Britains overseas empire, finally it will be completely and fully out.
