Ladyboys the highlight as the army draft is spiced up in Thailand's northeast

Northeastern beauties - in fact ladyboys - turned up en masse for the army draft in Phetchabun.

 

The army in the Nong Phai district needed 82 conscripts from half a dozen sub-districts.

 

Potential soldiers needed to be given a medical and a bit of a squeeze to make sure that everything was in the right place.

 

This was soon shown to be surplus to requirements in some cases as the potential fighters were clad in skirts and skimpy tops and adorned with makeup and lipstick.

 

 

Thai Rath had a video of their reporter's conversations with the transgenders.

 

They reported the chief of this intake as saying there were still Covid restrictions in place and what with the heat social distancing was a priority.

 

He admitted that with all the families present and the extra spice of the "sao praphet song" in attendance it was a jolly occasion.

 

 

Some of the ladyboys were still students others were already working.

 

ASEAN NOW notes that people who get a letter informing about the army draft must respond according to the law.

 

Every year this leads to many transgenders turning up where they make the headlines and are duly rejected for service.

 

Others have to draw straws.

Bit of a broad brush there, we paid 20k to keep a relative out of the draft so he could go to college and become an electrician. Far better than marching about and washing the generals cars.

I went back and watched some reruns of this show, and it was really a well done and well acted comedy. Carter and Pyle characters were played so well off of each other, each one brought his character convincingly to life. Those shows stand up even now. "memories". Yup, I'm old, 66

They want equality with everyone, let them have it.

Make them join the draft and if they get chosen they can be found office work at the barracks, or in the kitchen.

my thai friend said that its not so ez as turnin up in makeup and wig... u need to have proof from doctor that u r trans, i.e. usually already need to have the boobs surgery done, etc... So i think not any straight/gay boy would do boobsjob just to avoid 2years of slavery , especially not the str8, mb some gay ones but even those many wont..

My eldest step son is a transgender was concerned when draft time came around... What she did was go and see three doctors, each of them 'examined" her and signed off on a letter suggesting that she was mentally unstable. Apparently a fairly common way of getting around doing service... this was some years ago now

There is zero point to having trannies in the army - they are often mentally unstable (what was it - 40% have attempted suicide at least once?), they are high maintenance and require medication (hormones), and sometimes surgery. Other than being woke and waving the equality flag there really isn't any benefit because a normal guy would bring in more value at less cost. And that's before the obvious logistics like shower and toilets - who do they share with? men or women? neither would be comfortable. And building separate facilities just for them is yet another unnecessary cost.

There are a majority of ACTUAL women in USA who don’t look as attractive…!
