Officers led by Chonburi provincial police chief Pol Maj-Gen Kamphon Leelapraphaporn raided a luxury 10 million baht home in the Pattaya area after a tip about illegal Chinese people.

 

The chief was helped by the tourist police, immigration and Nong Prue officers.

Five Chinese - four men and a woman - were found to be running a loan sharking and call center business for clients back in China.

 

Police took 8 computers, 12 phones and a lot of sim cards into evidence.

Initially four of the five were charged with overstaying their visas and all were charged with illegal working, reported Siam Rath.

 

As regards any other charges they will have to wait until further inquiries are made.
