You will gain a better understanding of this in future years. :giggle:

Care to explain why?

The compressor in our current house is already 3 years old and still quiet.

In our OLD house we replaced the Rubber stands the compressor sits on as they were affected by the sun and that one (which is 6-7 years old) we also don't hear.

Where can you buy new rubber pads, or did you just make them yourself?

One of our AC unit compressors is a bit noisy too... 15 years old.

I can't recall, but I believe it was either from Daikin direct or one of the DIY Stores.

Maybe ask your Installer / aircon maintenance guy they might have some spares.

I want to make a small, air conditioned room using AAC blocks.

May I ask what benefits your system will gain by living in a temperature controlled environment?

I assume that you are planning to use the room for your solar power inverter and batteries?

Asking for a friend...

Batteries have a longer lifespan and function better at lower temperatures

A led acid battery that is expected to last for 10 years at 25°C, will only last 5 years if it is operated at 33°C, and just a year and a half if kept at a temperature of 41°C.

Thought so... I wonder if the same would happen to LiFePO4 batteries.

All batteries work at their best at 25ºC

Lead acid loose 50% capacity for every 10º above that.

Lithium loose also but not so dramatically.

Maintaining a controlled environment is economically a good idea relative to the cost of the battery and their early demise.

Now, If there is no temperature control the batteries are exposed to whatever the ambient is which is never going to be as bad as having a permanent 24hr increase of 10ºC but I figure for the sake of maximising my 125k 750Ah battery investment It's worth an inverter air con for 18k baht + a few AAC blocks if available.
