I was hoping somebody would start a thread for this.

 

So, this week we had two teenage cheerleaders shot when they tried to enter a car they thought was theirs and another black teenage boy shot for ringing a doorbell on the wrong house.  Other countries don't have this problem because angry old white racists don't get to own guns.

This is what happens when guns get into the hands of all the untrained idiots. Gun ownership should be ok, but you need to be trained in usage and have to obtain a license that requires renewal with competency tests at every renewal. It should be harder to get a gun license than it is to get a driver's license for a car in Germany to drive on the Autobahn. 

 

Let every moron have a gun and this kind of thing will never stop . 

IMO the appropriate term is trigger-happy.

While there are some things Americans do extremely well, with firearms they have yet to grow up.

Funny how people knock America every chance they get. And act like no crime or violence happens in Thailand.  Even though violent acts and crimes seem to happen in Thailand every day. 
The expats that criticize the West all the time  are usually the ones that couldn’t make it there.  Financially or otherwise.

Take your head out of the sand please, this topic is about the extent of gun violence in the USA no other country comes even close. And it seems this will continue until sensible citizens face up to the fact that they have a problem.

While it is a sad state of affairs in the USA that many people are now taking into their own hands protecting themselves from the everyday criminal element that has festered in recent years... there are THREE (3) OTHER COUNTRIES leading the way in gun violence... so your statement that "no other country comes even close" is false and inflammatory... try to get your head out of wherever it may be.

Garden shooter doesn't look like an old white racist to me!

 

Cheerleader shooter, Pedro Rodriguez age 25 doesn't appear to be old or white either.

Yes, you are correct, however - HOWEVER!! - - coming from an outsider, who always touts himself as perfect and talks about bonking his GF w/great pride, it is not really in your ballpark... I don't criticize things in your country - - it is called 'good manners' - - the USA definitely has problems... you probably shouldn't be critical unless you want to get it thrown back at you... it is enough to endure your bragging..

I'd feel safer in the US with a concealed carry, than risk my elderly martial arts skills against drug dealers, homeless, and gang members.

I did when challenged. I didn't think the jury was still out on my claim and I subsequently proved that it wasn't. I only provide a link when I think there's a reasonable chance that it will be challenged or that the claim is new to this board. It wasn't new.
