Normally you would apply for 12 month extension from a non O 30 days prior to expiry of permission of stay.

45 days at some offices.

Not sure what you mean about "financial requirements letter"

The letter from the bank just confirms balance on that day and you as the owner of the account.

That can be done on day of application.

Some offices accept letter up to 7 days previous.

Proof of meeting financials, meaning for example (for retirement) 800k having been in the bank for min 2 months on day of application for extension.

That proof is not from a bank letter it's from bank book pages.

For some offices bank statements are required

30 days before is standard. Not early.

More than 30 days is early.

Depends on office.

It might help to have solid evidence of a need such as an air ticket.

This is a good answer. It is entirely at the discretion of the local immigration office. If they allow the application, a retirement extension is usually completed the same day, or overnight at worst.

OP, might help if you state reason for early application and how early.

Have read reports of example 15 days "extra days early" by showing flight out.

CM also started asking me to provide a copy of every page of my bank book.  easy enough to do

so no problem.
