CHIANG MAI, April 25 (TNA) – The number of new weekly Covid-19 cases in Chiang Mai has doubled after the Songkran festival.

 

Director of Nakhon Ping Hospital, Dr. Worachet Techarak said the situation was predictable after arrivals of both Thai and foreign tourists to celebrate the Songkran. Festivalgoers did not wear masks when they splashed water on one another.

The smog is a bigger hazard than Covid and will be around for much longer killing and debilitating the people whilst the government forms committees.

currently about 30k thai die every year as a direct result of the pollution. almost more than covid total.

What about numbers of people being admitted to clinics or hospitals suffering form breathing disorders due to the PM2.5
