A taxi caught fire on April 25th, prompting the response of local authorities to the scene. The incident occurred on a road next to Khlong Song Khlong Luang canal, near Supalai Preemo village in Khlong Song sub-district, Khlong Luang district, Pathum Thani.

Upon arriving, firefighters and police worked together to put out the flames.

The taxi involved in the fire was a green and yellow Toyota Altis with Bangkok license plates. The fire was believed to have been caused by a natural gas vehicle (NGV) installed in the car, reported Siam Rath.

Firefighters had to use two water hoses to extinguish the flames, which took approximately 15 minutes. The driver sustained minor injuries.

The driver, Mr. Banchar (last name withheld), 46, reported that he had one passenger in the car who was heading towards Thanyaburi when the incident occurred.

The passenger had returned to the car to retrieve a forgotten phone when they noticed flames in the engine compartment. Both the driver and passenger were able to escape the vehicle safely before it was completely engulfed in flames.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
