webfact Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 By Goongnang Suksawat Pattaya – Police inspected an entertainment venue in Pattaya in a crackdown on people involved in transnational crime and people who have overstayed their legal visa to stay in Thailand. On Friday night (April 28th) a team of officers from Chonburi Provincial Police, the Pattaya City Police, and immigration officers inspected Ying Club on Pattaya Third Road in Central Pattaya. More than 120 Thai and foreign tourists were in the nightclub. Police checked ID cards and passports. Urine drug tests were conducted on a total of nine Chinese (8 men, 1 woman), a Korean, 4 Indonesians (2 men, 2 women), 32 Thais, and 64 staff (41 men, 23 women). None of them tested positive for drugs and no illegal items were found. Police also checked many cars in the parking lot for possible weapons or drugs but found neither. The cynic in me suggests a late brown envelope, sadly I am likely correct. Surely they should be getting embarrassed to be raiding these places and coming up with a big fat zero! Place had mostly staff in there! 1 1 1

What a dreadful waste of police resources when all major roads were snarled up yesterday. 1

I was trying to get out of town yesterday and on Sukhumvit heading North, where tunnel traffic, slip road traffic and those trying to get onto the flyover for Hwy7 are supposed to merge and sort themselves out. (Bangkok drivers don't do 'merge', more 'barge') Was met with road works at at the flyover entry. Quite a mess.... What type of idiot schedules such work on a bank holiday weekend?
Enoon Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 Silly police......Tuesdays and Thursdays are "Transnational Crime and Overstayer" nights. No wonder they didn't get anyone.
