I did a video chat with ID.me on the initial setup and again early this week to re-verify my identity. ChatGPT says, "No, Login.gov does not require a video chat verification for identity verification. Instead, the process involves uploading photos of your government-issued ID and, in some cases, a selfie."
So, if I end up not being able to get ID.me resolved (and it's not looking like their side is interested in helping me), I might give login.gov a shot.
Thanks for the info. 🙏
There are 3 "retirement" visas that I can think of off the top of my head, and there are possibly more. Just because that's the first one you found, doesn't make it THE retirement visa.
Forget the individual in this case, and the crime he was eventually convicted of; is it right that people might be sacked in the event that unproven allegations are levelled against them? There are semi-regular cases of men being falsely accused of rape by people with malicious intent. Is it right that these men be sacked?
I understand the frustration around a guilty person continuing to receive a salary after serious allegations are made about them, but for those who are innocent the effect of not only being falsely accused but also losing their employment could be devastating.
