Im in late 50s and when frowning I have a lot of wrinkles. Old age is the norm...

Was thinking of trying Botox. Cost 15k to 20k. Lasts 4 months.

Have you tried it? Good or bad results. Please share your experiences

Botox is an important pain management agent. Overuse of it undermines this use.

Do you really want a doctor in a few years time telling you that the agonising neck pain you have can only be effectively relieved by Botox, and then finding out that it no longer has the right effect on you?

not me but one of my friends at work did. She is very happy so far and its some years now but she told us something like they are finished or expired and must do new one. so it seems 1 time is not enough or at least the way she did.

also a note for you. if someone look very close and want to see, you can see the injections even after many years.

I was told by someone in the trade that botox doesn't smooth out wrinkles.......it just prevents them getting worse.....not sure if that is common knowledge (assuming it's true).

Friends wife had some done. Looks worse to me and most others. Face looks ballooned up. I think she regrets it but won't admit it. I have forbidden wife to be persuaded to undergo any cosmetic surgery. Told her she was better off sticking to her expensive creams and lotions which work well on her face . ( at 60 , not much you can do about the rest )

Cheap solution would be to avoid frowning and try smiling instead .

Plus look into anti wrinkle cosmetics. I use Bio oil to keep crows feet around the eyes at bay plus an all over face Aloe Vera gel ( Burnover Gel ) to keep the skin hydrated. Always wear a sun block when you go out and avoid catching too much direct sun. An excess of sun will do nothing for wrinkles , likewise , excessive alcohol consumption de hydrates the skin.

It works. Been doing it for years. In Jomtien try Origene on 2nd road. Talk to Khun Fresh. Nabota brand is 4000 baht for your typical areas. Forehead, crows feet and middle of the eyes area. Will last 3 to 5 months.

More than half of the replies I read were totally incorrect. I’ve had Botox treatments in Chiangmai. They lasted 67 months and it was 2000.Bht she usually takes a week and a half to two weeks to see the results. You’re thinking about it in your 50 after two weeks of getting the Botox you probably look like you’re 40 TIT.

The only way to safely fill in your frown and laugh lines is to use a medical proven wrinkle filler. I don't think that I am allowed to post a link here, but the product name is called Restylane.

Pop that into your browser search engine and you can read all about it. The results are still visible up to a year later, but just become more aware of trying not to frown too much or screw up your eyes half closed. You can always top-up lines that start reappearing after a year, but you wont need as many fillings as when you first started.

I personally have used this product since 1990 and I am still very happy with the results. I am over 60 years young.

Don't go for cheap products, because the results you get will look like cheap shots and or cause irreversible damage to the face and or underlying tissue.

Get this procedure done by a doctor who specialises in reconstructive and plastic surgery or a skin specialist, in a reputable hospital.

What botox does is it freezes certain muscles that cause wrinkles. Once they are frozen, the skin no longer wrinkles and naturally smoothes out

Do regular hospitals like Pattaya Memorial have those specialists?

It is basically hyaluronic acid, which strengthens and plumps up the skin. It is often used in combination with botox, which freezes certain muscles.

I assume you mean 6-7 months. General consensus is a bit less than that, but of course individual results can vary.

Hi I cant answer that question as I have never been to Pattaya. Maybe another poster here can answer that question. I have mine done overseas.

Someone who knows what they are talking about. Thais are now going for a German filler. Starts with X. Botox is a brand name not to be confused with the procedure fillers are mostly based with Hyaluronic Acic which relaxes the muscle you can by HA serum and rub it to the wrinkles to see if it helps before going for injections
