They/it will go up in smoke!

So you can only see posts that fit in with your thoughts and you see no opposing viewpoints? A bit dull witted don't you think?

And they're wrong about that too. There are many different cannabinoids and they work together in harmony. If you isolate THC without CBD for example, things get a bit out of balance.

I have some good friends in the UK who've been very involved with this whole subject for decades. Which is the only reason I know so much about it. Every human has cannabinoid receptors in their brain. They only react to cannabis so why would they be there if we're not not meant to ingest the plant? If you believe in God, you should accept that he put all the plants here for us to eat.

One of my friends eats only the leaves and seeds of cannabis plants for months at a time because he claims it's the ideal food for our health.

Here's the link for anyone who's interested.  http://freecannabis.net/cannabis-compendium/cannabis-a-dietary-essential/

And the rest of his story, in which he befriends Howard Marks http://freecannabis.net/contact-free/the-chronicles-of-cannabis/

I can understand it from the medical point of view, though I would need to try it first. From the recreational view, then it is each to their own,

I quit smoking ordinary cigarettes back in 1970 and I quit drinking 3 years ago, when I sat and worked out I was drinking about 3 to 4 bottles of Hong Thong a week.

At 78 I really don't want to start anything unless I have to.

I don’t know anyone who uses it recreationally. I guess many people self medicate. Some may end up abusing it.
For example, someone who suffers overly from anxiety could benefit using a small amount of cannabis. Are they recreational users? In the same way, someone might take a small amount of alcohol to ‘settle the nerves’. Is that a recreational drinker?
There will always be people who do things to excess. Should the people who need access to a natural medicine suffer because of the actions of a few?
Personally, I bought some for a specific reason and now that problem is all but solved, the rest is just sitting there. Just like any other medicine in your cabinet. Can be useful from time to time, but you may need to take a course initially. Normal.

There is a medical cover for it’s use. People end up believing they are medical users when they actually just like getting high.

I know people that claim ailments that probably are not 100% legit like arthritis, headache, etc stuff like that. There’s a list of such ailments. They go into a quack dr and claim they have a headache and here’s your script sir five minutes later. Dr bills insurance company for the sham exam.

just in the company of friends they claim ailments now, to appear as genuine medical users because it looks legit or they actually believe it.

I can’t figure out why Thailand allowed grass. They were all aboard on the family friendly tourism and high earning expat visitor train then they allow it to become a stoner destination.

everyone knows higher class people don’t sit around getting stoned, with the exception of some rock stars.

Are and families planning to brings their families to smoke weed or be around those who do? Do you like being in a resort where there are guys in dreadlocks sitting around the pool getting stoned?

what are people doing in their rooms getting stoned? Utilizing the services of prostitutes? Does little Joey need to hear that or be exposed to that lower class of society?

your father knew people who utilized alcohol and it was always a manly thing to do, even if it was not healthy. He also knew people who smoked, but he did not at all associate with that segment of society who smoked grass. What losers. Did they grow up and live in their mothers basements, become heroin addicts, live on welfare and food stamps? Did you end up there? Loser! What could you have achieved had you not succumbed to grass, the deadly weed. What kind of man did you leave behind in a puff of smoke and laughter? If only you listened to the film in family values class in high school you could have grown up to be a pillar of society, a doctor, architect or lawyer. Instead you got stoned in the bushes at lunchtime and became a loser student, and now your kids need a good example. Man up and change your ways, don’t let your kids take the same path! You won’t ever be your fathers man, but you can try to fake it, like your father did.

Hey, the 1950's called. They want their opinions back.

good on you. it ticks me off when i read these uninformed negative opinions about the uses of cannabis. Hollywood started the propaganda in the early 1930's with 'Refer Madness'; all financed by the same big pharmas pushing drugs on you today.  we rely on our doc, (17 years) in Surathani.. whose experience covers just about everything medical. he is a GP and does surgeries. His advice: use the oil for pain management and use good weed for severe depression and anxiety attacks (a life-long affliction) .

that's one of the most uneducated posts I have read in a while. Not only that, but the logical side of your brain much have hit a few lamp posts, along the road of life  Let's see how you feel,  when you reach 80,  your spinal cord is collapsing due to stenosis (look it up) , and/or you suffer from severe depression. With your lack of imagination, i suppose that you will start drinking a bottle of whiskey a  day.

I have personally gotten high with the heirs of SC johnson, walmart, dupont, anheiser busch, the pritskers, kuwaiti princes the list goes on and on.

higher class people indulge recreationally

if you think that it is confined to rockstars, who ironically i personally wouldn't consider higher class, you are just dead wrong.

no, you mean ''annoying''. because just about 100% of the anti cannabis brigade post garbage. Uninformed, uneducated, never researched the topic, shoots from the lip, sitting in a bar, first beer for breakfast, married a Thai, but hasn't learned to speak Thai. take your pick.

You obviously forgot what you posted, no one disputes it impairs judgement, just that you tried to make out it was for an extended length of time which its not.

If you are going to go to the trouble of googling articles, at least read them thoroughly first! Makes you look rather silly when your own article contradicts your own post!

I went to college with elite preppies from such schools. They were into much harder drugs actually.

Not just the weed shops up in smoke. I understood some serious money has gone in to planting home grown marijuana. What is required is regulation not re criminalisation.

And I've not seen any serious effort to end the plague of yabba. Bold talk from the top for the media. Arrests and raids of small time dealers, runners and users at ground level, " fines" , rehab and imprisonment hasn't dented this plague. Then there's the other plague, of gambling and gambling dens. Everywhere especially in the villages. Openly carried on, even at many funeral parties. A pay off and left undisturbed

Good idea.

Get full spectrum CBD oil.

That does contain a little THC but not enough to get you high.

As long the local police is engaged in the trade, nothing change.

Yep. Banning weed is cultural, not rational.

From what i have heard (reasonable sources!) , most of the shops, at least in BKK, are just money laundering fronts for those that need such things.

I guess these people  will just move on and find other ways to clean up their cash

( obtained from where they make the real money ie call centre investment scams, illegal gambling sites  etc etc).

You may need to be able to back up that accusation with something empirical.

You are simply generalising, from a position of low knowledge. Also quite unpleasant to be ‘judging’ your ‘friends’ in such a manner.

Do you really know what is going on in the minds of your friends. Has there ever been a case of someone you may have known who seemed fine on the outside, suddenly going down with depression or even ending it all? You have no idea really. You just have an uninformed opinion.
