TM30 is on the list of required documents for Certificate of residence.

However, if you do TM30 online on their app, there is now print out option of the confirmation.

Has anyone had experience of providing screenshots of the confirmation screen from the TM30 online app at the Immigration office when applying ?

Which immigration office?

Yes a screenshot of TM30 would be accepted.

What is your status in Thailand.

A TM30 for certificate of residence is an option.

Most offices would accept a TM47 receipt.

90 day report.

Note: CW require a 90 day report for certificate of residence

It is all about my son's visiting me. He is on 30 days stamp here. And he has Thai temporary 2 years driver's license that he needs to extend to 5 years.

Can a Thai driver's license be renewed when on a visa exempt entry? I thought the applicant (new license or renewal) had to be on a long-stay visa.

OP, if an online TM30 has been done, there is no need for any printout, immigration can see the TM30 entry on their computer system.

As a general principle that might vary with office, (CW in my case), they want hard copy of TM30 and TM47 (90 day) signed hard copy. They could see mine in their system but they asked for hard copy and checked one against the other. Better to have hard copy/printout available.

Is there a way to get a residence certificate without a TM47 in BKK?  I am on a Non-O retirement, but I never stay 90 days in the country because of work (outside the country).  Come and go every month.  I cannot get my Drivers License as DLT (Bang Chak) requires a Residence Certificate and Chang Wattana requires a TM47.  My (German) embassy does not issue residence letters any longer either.  Any ideas?

You must have done a 90 day report to obtain a certificate of residence from Bangkok immigration.

A very messy solution is to do a TM30 to an address in another province and obtain certificate of residence there.

I also could not obtain a letter from Oz embassy as alternative.

When can I do a 90 day report at the earliest? After 90 days or earlier?

Window opens at 75 day mark.

Your first report must be done via mail or in person.

15 days before the due date to 7 days after (if reporting in person).

Online is 15 days before, up until the due date.

Thank you, Dr. Jack.  Crazy requirement. I have a Pink Card, Yellow Book, and an expired DL. All not good enough.  I may have to go to another province if I want to drive. Would I get the DL in the other province as well, or will DLT in BKK accept the RC from the other province?

@RaveBlond

Here is a tip.

You can make an appointment at CW for TM47 .

There are no appointments for certificate of residence.

Now here is the tip...

The io will process your application for certificate of residence at the same time.

She will do the TM47 hand you the print out and also photocopy it to complete the certificate of residence application .

That is posted out.

Takes up to two weeks and fee 200b .

I did exactly that yesterday.

Regarding your other questions think a good idea to chat with agent for advice.

You don't need to use them

I recommend BSR bikes.

You can use messenger or call.

USA owner.

Fatboy's is also good agent.

Note agents cannot assist with certificate of residence.

I am not sure I understand your post.  This procedure would require 75 days in the country - otherwise the TM47 would not be processed, right?  It helps me to get the RC at the same time. How does it take two weeks?
