For many Thais, the proposed new coalition government of parties from the opposition camp represents a “dream team” of liberal democrats.

The six-party coalition, led by election-winner Move Forward, would have 310 MPs and an absolute majority in the 500-seat House of Representatives.

However, to make this dream come true, the coalition would need majority support in both houses of Parliament, comprising 500 MPs and 250 senators. Backing from at least 376 parliamentarians is required for the coalition’s PM candidate to get the country’s top job.

The release of the unofficial results of Sunday’s election saw Move Forward leader Pita Limjaroenrat announce that he was ready to serve as the country’s 30th prime minister. However, in order to do this, he will first have to gain support from another 66 parliamentarians outside the coalition. This will undoubtedly require serious political maneuvering and negotiation skills.

Nyah.  Can't be a "pipe dream" as Pita wants cannabis to be criminalized again.
More like a Johnney Walker Blue Label dream.

Most of his ideas fit a conservative world view. "liberal" here must mean something akin to the classic definition

Yup, what's the going rate for a senator these days, times 66?

They'll follow the money, he'll get all the support he needs.

Anutin has 71 seats for sale.

Do you think the reason they dont include him is the marijuana issue that Anutin depends on for support or that he does not want to associate with the regime or that he doesnt like him. (Who does?) Pita referred to him indirectly by saying he does not need any more support.

They won’t include any party who was in the previous government.

A warning to the super corrupt bought and paid for army appointed senators. Get in the way now, and you and your families are done. All efforts must be made by the people to call out these heathens, and shame them and their families, in whatever way possible. The people will not tolerate you blocking a fair and just election. An attempt to subvert democracy again, will not be tolerated.

Get out of the way. You just don't understand the havoc and the fire you are playing with. Get out now. Stop hassling the nation. You are beyond illigitimate.
