Palang Pracharath’s Thawee Suraban filed complaints with Election Commission (EC) on Friday against two Democrats, Chuan Leekpai and Sathit Wongnongtaey, accusing them of defaming him during their election campaigns.

Thawee’s lawyer took the legal action, claiming the pair had violated election laws by slandering his client when they spoke on rally stages in April and May.

His lawyer submitted video clips of Democrat’s advisory chief Chuan’s and Sathit’s speeches on the campaigning on May 10thand April 27th as supporting evidence.

At least he's using the legal avenue. So many manchild Thai men use guns. Maybe if Thailand has the chance to or more to the point is allowed to grow up, eventually the people will too. Probably not what the defenders of "TheThree Pillars" want. Maybe the people of Thailand want freedom from these 'Three Pillars'? The massive mandate from the people would certainly indicate this.

Let him have his day in court. Leekpai is perhaps the most senior politician in Thailand. Been around since 90s and former PM. Such an important person can't go about talking trash (allegedly) publicly of others especially with Thailand's crazy defamation laws.

Always remembering that 'slander' here also includes making a true statement, as the truth is often damaging to a person's reputation and not meant to be told.

Then it's about time the Government and people Grow up and get rid off this Law .

If one can't speak the truth what about all the Lies that the Pollies /Lawyers and people get away with. No wonder that this country is in such a Mess.
