I play Wagner operas at high volume with speakers facing the late night revelers, only I do it early in the morning when they are usually hungover. Bim Smith Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 Had a Canadian here that did played loud American rock music at his house because he was fed up with the neighbours constant loud music. He bought big speakers to do it. They complained to the Police who promptly came round to his house to tell him to turn it off. When he pointed out about his neighbour he got told Thai music is OK. Go figure 1

The media at the time made the assumption that the music was loud which triggered the murders actions. Later on it was noted that the murder was in fact mentally deranged and should never about been allowed out on his own - he was already a well known danger to society. 2 1 1

spidermike007 Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 Very strange. Usually it is the Thais who create the noise. And usually the Thais barely even hear noise, much less get annoyed by it. One would think this could have been resolved with a friendly conversation. If I were in his position, and a neighbor complained about my music bothering them, I would most certainly turn it down. Looks like the tiny man Prasut Thipthep over reacted, just a bit. One evening of loud music, and now his life as he knew it is over. And so is someone elses. What a bizarre, stupid, ridiculous, petty, immature, and undeveloped man Prasut Thipthep is. I hope he is sentenced to a long prison term (an immediate death sentence would be far more appropriate), and makes alot of close friends in prison, where he will learn the meaning of real noise. 1

It was reported from locals nearby (and an expat nearby) that no music could be heard. So... IF you were in his position... the following would have happened... You’re sat there having a quiet beer and out of no where a lunatic attacks you with the scythe striking the back of your head, you are dead, you stood no chance to ‘discuss or talk your way out of anything’....
