On May 18, Thailand’s Constitutional Court voted 8 to 1 to strike down the an executive degree that delayed the enforcement of key provisions of the Prevention and Suppression of Torture and Enforced Disappearances Act.

Bangkok DMS Hospitals Prepared to Receive Additional COVID Patients

BANGKOK (NNT) - Hospitals under the supervision of the Department of Medical Services (DMS) in Bangkok have confirmed that they still have sufficient capacity to accommodate more COVID-19 patients. DMS Director-General Dr Thongchai Keeratihattayakorn confirmed that just over 22% of the beds in these hospitals are currently occupied.

Udom Kanmuang, a restaurant owner, and his wife Noi celebrated their recent lottery win of 24 million baht with a grand ceremony honouring ‘Por Pu Sian Anan Nakarat’, a respected figure in Thai folklore. Teen released after failing to charge for throwing baby in river

A Nakhon Pathom Juvenile and Family Court released the mother of an 8 month old baby boy accused of throwing the baby into the Tha Chin River after the prosecutor failed to file charges within the 90-day deadline. The court is still investigating further, asking for clarification on five new points by July 25.

Mysterious creature kills chickens, supernatural incidents in Suphan Buri village

Teenage twins arrested for sexually assaulting girls under 15 years old

The twins aged 19 years old were arrested yesterday, May 18, after luring and sexually assaulting several girls aged under 15 years old in Ratchaburi province in central Thailand. This disturbing incident follows a history of criminal offences by the twins. One of them was only released from prison last year.

Pattaya Police and rescuers from the Sawang Boriboon Thamasathan Foundation were called to the scene in the early hours of today, in Soi Chaloem Phra Kiat 21, Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung district, Chon Buri province.
