MFP aims to break Thailand’s alcohol monopoly

Hopes are high among small breweries and local distilleries in Thailand as the Move Forward Party (MFP) seeks to liberalise the alcohol industry. The current heavily monopolised industry has made it challenging for small businesses to thrive due to strict laws and regulations controlling production and retailing.

Driver Injured and Eight Vehicles Damaged after Minivan Crashes into Patong Shop

Brit’s killer safe in Oslo and will not be extradited to Thailand with local police taking on the case

57-year-old Roger Bullman looked gaunt and frail on his return to Oslo Airport on Saturday, May 27th, after nearly four years on the run. 


UPDATE: A frail and ill Roger Bullman, after a nightmare of nearly four years on the run, is recovering in Oslo with his family while police in the Norwegian capital plan to have the case transferred from Thailand to Norway to conduct their own murder enquiry. The Norwegian hopes that he will not be charged in the matter and has reiterated his 2019 claims of having acted in self-defence when attacked in his room by the victim wielding a knife.

Bangkok: Residents Appeal to BMA to Fix Broken Sidewalk for Road Safety

Residents of Pibulwattana Alley in Phaya Thai district are pleading with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to fix a broken sidewalk for the sake of road safety. Despite filing complaints for the past 3-4 years, no action has been taken to address the issue.
