Hi all,

I am Alan (newbie) here in desperation as I thought I had everything sorted and then had the rug pulled from under my feet.

Lets start at the begining.

Well I had an invite from an old friend to stay with him in Thailand for Christmas (2006) and seen as I had no plans for christmas said yes (sister not happy but ho hum) got to bangkok and met Jim and jah, Jah had a friend Bulan yes you guessed it we hit it off and 3 more visits and six months later we are on the phone every day and wanting to be with each other so we apply for a visa.

Me being new to everything (visa wise) am a bit confused well not fully understanding the process but look it up on internet. Next time I come to Bangkok (May 2007) we apply for visa.

May 2007 we go for visa at 55 wave place (as address on internet) greated by a Thai gentleman who asked me to wait a while then talked to by Mr Chalee ( at this point I did not know he was part of a third party business!!!) after him telling me the UK visa is the hardest in the world to get he comes with the punchline 25000 baht to sort it for me.

Yes in the height of nieivity I agree and part with roughly 30,000 Baht.

The following days I give photos of us together and photos of my house, bank statements savings details and investments my holiday comes to an end and still not applied for the visa.

Then I am asked for a letter from my employer to say I still work there and a copy of my devorce papers which were sent.

Bulan goes for the biometrics and is interviewed......three working days later refused. Because the officer was not satisfied she would return to Thailand after her visit.

She has no savings to mention, she does not have a job because I got her to stop it / I support her 15000 a month (evidence given) and she has no land (her father does though!).

Bulan is going back to the embassy tomorrow 09/07/07 to give Mr Chalee an ear full as they said everything was good and visa no problem???.

I was wandering if anyone could give me any advice on what else to do to prove she will return after her visit as she definately will.

It was a tourist visa I have plenty of money in the bank and am sponsoring her, I have sent an email to the embassy stressing my dissbelief and also sent a letter.

What else can I do to prove she will return?.

Thanks in advance Alan

Send Bulan back to Mr Chalee tomorrow if it makes you feel good but he sure doesn't work for the embassy.

She should apply at UK Visa Application Centre , I've no idea where you got the other address from.

She will need a reason to return to Thailand and a job is good start. She should get a letter from her employer stating how long she has worked there and that she will return to work there. A guarantee that she will from you is no good as it doesn't stand up in law.

You can check out this forum by using the search facility on the word "visitor" and "tourist" and you should pick up some tips.
