Having A Baby In Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi All

The missus and I have an imminent new arrival (about 4 weeks), she is Thai and I am an Aussie (working in Thailand with WP etc.). Can someone point me in the right direction of the things I should do to get the young lad an Aussie passport?

Many Thanks

It's very simple.Take your passport and the baby's birth certificate to the Australian Embassy and get the baby a "Citizenship by Descent" certificate.Once that is issued you can apply for a passport for the baby.Takes ten working days for each one.
