Hi all

hoping to sponsor my Thai fiance for settlement in the UK. Since I'm currently in the UK myself, the plan is that I will send all the support docs to her. I've seen other posts advising on how to get a passport copy certified while in Thailand, but does anyone know how I could get this done in the UK before sending the copy on? Obviously I'd be reluctant to send my passport..

Thanks in advance for any advice - Rik

If you really want to have your passport copy certified, then a solicitor will do this for a fee.

However, my personal belief is that a certified copy is not required and they have to accept the copy as is unless they have good reason to believe it's not representative of the original.

Many thanks Scouser, I'll go with that.
