On a dimly lit curved road, a collision between an 18 year old motorcyclist and a 51 year old man turned fatal, leaving one dead and another severely injured. Locals disclosed that accidents frequently occur in this area due to poor road lighting.

An accident was reported on Chalermphrakiat Bang Bo alley in the vicinity of the Srap Charoen Suk Village entrance in Samut Sakhon province. Rescue foundation officers, alongside Deputy Investigation Officer Chai Sri Paldit, arrived on the scene. They found the body of 51 year old Wirat Na Bang Chang with a broken neck, broken right wrist, and broken right leg in close proximity to his pink Yamaha Mio motorbike, bearing a Ratchaburi license plate, reported Khaosod.

Nearby, the wounded 18 year old Pibhop Pradu Thong was discovered unconscious and seriously injured. He was promptly rushed to Somdej Phra Phutthaloetla Hospital. The scene revealed that his black Honda Wave motorcycle with a Samut Sakhon license plate was severely damaged at the front, with a distorted front wheel.

I wonder why kids are using these flimsy aluminium rims? They are sturdy as tinfoil and downright dangerous on a bike. Imagine hitting a pothole and you could lose control of the bike.

May not be an issue in this instance, but I am amazed that most Thais wear black or dark clothes.

Not a chance to see pedestrians there.

Thailand needs a 'wear something white at night' campaign.

Are the roads all lit in other countries? I know they're not in the US. In the US the vehicles have headlights.

RIP Kuhn Wirat

Every time again I see in Thailand, motor bikes with no light, on the wrong side of the road, playing with phone, making ridiculous decisions and not only motor bikes are doing so.
