Social Media Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said an effort to impeach President Biden now lacking due process would be “dead on arrival” in the Senate. Graham said during a Friday appearance on “The Hill” on NewsNation that Republicans argued that Democrats did not give former President Trump the right to due process during the impeachment proceedings against him in 2019 and 2021, and he does not believe anyone should be impeached without a hearing being held. Graham noted that the impeachment against former President Bill Clinton in the late 1990s went through a process that allowed him to defend himself. “But what’s being done in the House to go straight to the floor with articles of impeachment — we criticized the Democrats for not giving Trump any due process. I think this is dead on arrival,” he said. FULL STORY

You mean impeach Biden just because Trump was impeached? The MAGA right know they'll never have to justify an impeachments. It's just talking points for the base. Popular Post bamnutsak Posted June 24, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 24, 2023 I would encourage House republicans to bring articles of impeachment ASAP. They claim to have evidence of bribery/extortion committed by then VP Biden. Now if they don't really have evidence then maybe they should stop making false allegations. 3 1 1
bendejo Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 It's all part of the Baloney Factory, to put it in G-rated terms. Like in the EJean case. After it was over the orange guy made like he was deprived of defending himself in court, but he decided against taking the stand, and opted out of even attending and facing the plaintiff. A blameless person would have taken this chance to "straighten this out once and for all." 17 hours ago, ozimoron said: You mean impeach Biden just because Trump was impeached? Yes. This is the stance but not necessarily MAGA. When Clinton was impeached there were some in the GOP who admitted it was payback for Nixon: it should be pointed out that Nixon was not impeached, and that it was the sentiment and actions of his own party that had him drummed out of office. It should be noted that the person who brokered the resignation (HW Bush) himself ran for president afterwards. Three times, actually. Ah, but this was back when the GOP was concerned about it's image of caring about the country and took a law & order stance. 1

Trump will not testify or provide any statement at impeachment trial, lawyer says https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/impeachment-managers-request-trump-testify-under-oath-senate-trial-n1256751
