Popular Post webfact
Anti-junta activist Aekachai Hongkangwan and four other defendants were acquitted by the Criminal Court today (Wednesday) of resorting to violence to block the motorcade of Her Majesty the Queen during an anti-government protest in 2020. Based on the evidence presented during the trial, the court ruled that they did not commit the offence, as charged by the police, and that the police had not notified the protesters in advance that a Royal motorcade would pass along the road, on which the protesters were marching towards Government House from the Democracy monument. The incident took place on October 14th, 2020, the first day of anti-government protests organised by the “Khana Ratsadon 2563” group. #news Source: https://www.thaipbsworld.com/court-acquits-five-protesters-of-blocking-queens-royal-motorcade-in-2020/ -- © Copyright Thai PBS 2023-06-28 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post bamnutsak
Wow. Very few 11x cases result in an acquittal. 3 minutes ago, webfact said: the court ruled that they did not commit the offence, as charged by the police, and that the police had not notified the protesters in advance that a Royal motorcade would pass along the road Seems like the RTP should be reprimanded, both for bringing questionable and partisan charges, and not properly managing a Royal Procession. 4 1 2

Popular Post roamer
Acquittal completely unrelated to the fact that the minimum sentence for this offence is 16 years imprisonment and of course the message that that would send out to bolster the case put forward by Move Forward for reform. 3

Yes, the courts here sometimes listen to the drumbeats. Same-same the 8-7 vote in 2001 clearing Thaksin. 1
