Disinformation is not the same as misinformation to you?

No, it is not the same to me or anyone else as far as I know.

Misinformation is just false information. Like when someone claims 100% of warming is caused by burning fossil fuels. The person is clearly misinformed, but has either just made a mistake, or actually believes what they are saying is true. There is no malice, it's just someone that, for whatever reason, does not know any better.

Disinformation is intentionally lying or misrepresenting the facts to deliberately mislead people. Like when a newspaper reporter claims Florida is teaching kids that slavery was great, or that the Supreme Court outlawed abortion. These people are not just wrong, they are intentionally misrepresenting the facts to promote their agenda. One could argue that that there is no malice because they (the liars) believe is for the greater good, but it should not be up to them to make that determination.

See the difference? Reading is FUN-damental!

Semantics. I had to look up what the difference was, but of course you knew this right off the top of your head, didn’t you? You’re so much smarter than me.
Maybe cut back a little on the condescension, though, I get enough of that from my wife already.

Yes, I knew it off the top of my head. But to be fair, I did not know it ten years ago, before I started to understand how the left has weaponized media and education.

You're just saying that because it's true.

That hilarious, a man of the accusing others of condescension.

At least our wives have something in common...

You’re hilarious. Ever heard of Rupert Murdoch? That man has been poisoning the media (not left, mind you) and the minds of countless millions of people for decades.

Salient point from the CNN article- Trump for all his faults can still draw crowds of thousands. Biden can't draw flies.

Not to mention the latest polling that shows Trump beating both Biden and Harris by 5-7 points.

Funny how most Americans don't want either of them to run though. I guess the media is really driving the narrative. A rematch of 2020 would be great for ad spending and ratings. Far more than if two younger and relatively unknown candidates were running.

Crowds aren't votes.

The Trump movement is a CULT.

Biden is just a regular president.

Recent polls show the opposite of what you assert.

Polls | FiveThirtyEight

It is true most people don't want a Biden Trump race.

We don't know yet whether that's what we'll get or not.

But if that's the contest, the vote is for democracy vs. fasciscm.

Not sure what poll you are quoting every thing I see has Biden ahead that beeing said trump is still an eminent threat to our democracy ,world stability and order that’s probably why some back him .true Biden isn’t a snake oil salesman like trump and he’s busy running the country and digging us out of the hole trump left.I think part of the reason no dems are challenging Biden is respect for the job he’s doing and unity behind a successful administration

It will be a bit of a spectacle when the sons of Trump and Biden are run through the mud..

Ngahh, missed it mate.. they will only enhance the upcoming spectacle... Trump did try to bring the family in, Jared, his wife... they will all be part of the media consumption.

I think it's rather unsual for a sitting president to be challenged for a second term. That said, I think there are a couple of people who have thrown their hat in the ring in case Biden falls off his bicycle and gets bitten to death by Commander the dog.

Successful incumbents are generally nominated by their parties often without serious challenge. Democrats though like everyone else see Biden as on bad side of old generally view Biden's performance as president as successful. Not overwhelming success but good enough to renominate.  Obviously if he backs out which he might, many worthy democrats will step up to compete. Only he knows if he's bluffing this run in order to avoid being a premature lame duck.

As Republicans in the House of Representatives push for expunging former President Donald Trump's impeachments and float shutting down the federal government, Democrats in the chamber are sensing an opportunity to win back some of the seats they lost last fall.

In fact, Punchbowl News reports that House Democrats are "salivating" at the prospect of their Republican colleagues blundering into self-destructive political stunts.

You know what boggles my mind? It is how people can be so misinformed about something they are so emotionally invested in.

Pot -> Kettle. Like the Republicans/MAGA crowd are so levelheaded when it comes to Biden and the Democrats? I hear and read a lot of hysterical rants about Biden and/or the Dems being communist, socialist, radical left, or “the Biden crime family”. That’s totally based on facts, right? No emotional investment there whatsoever.

There are claims of whistleblowers, and many Republicans get all excited and giddy, but then suddenly the whistleblowers can not be found, or turn out to be criminals and illegal agents for China themselves. All big nothing burgers.

Rather than regurgitating left-wing idiocy about Trump, why don't you just look at Trump, Obama and Biden's net worth before and after their terms? I think Trump's worth much less now, than when he was elected, and I think Obama and Biden are both worth much more.

You post up a long list of lies you claim are facts, and then when you get called out on the you claim it's up to everyone else to prove they're lies. That's not the way it works.

The thing is, Biden and Trump didn't trade on their occupancy of the office while they were in office. We know this because they released all their income tax returns. Whereas Trump not only didn't release his income tax returns but he lied about the reason why.

I guess we have different definitions of what ‘lies’ are.

Trump never pays his bills:

https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2016/06/trump-didnt-pay-his-bills-for-decades.html

Erie mayor wants Trump to pay in advance for his upcoming rally, and he also wants him to pay for the rally he held there in 2018, a bill he never paid:

https://www.thedailybeast.com/this-time-erie-mayor-wants-cash-up-front-for-trump-rally

Trump wanted to get rid of Obamacare and introduce his own health care plan. Here’s a quote from trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov: “President Trump’s healthcare vision put American patients, families, and seniors first by providing more choice, better care, and lower costs. He worked from day one to put healthcare back where it belongs—in the hands of the American people.

https://trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov/issues/healthcare/

Sadly, none of that ever happened.

Trump claimed he was going to build a border wall and Mexico would pay. Never happened.

https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/trumpometer/promise/1397/build-wall-and-make-mexico-pay-it/

Trump said he hires only the best people. I questioned that, because anyone can see that he fired people left and right.

Trump called Brad Raffensperger to find him 11,780 votes, and threatened him in several ways. There’s a tape of that phone call. Here’s the full transcript:

Still think it was a long list of lies?

Still think it was a long list of lies?

Shortly before he took office, Trump claimed he had a health insurance plan that was just about ready to go.

Apparently it languished in the White House. Maybe Trump packed it in a cardboard box nad took it to Mar a Lago as a souvenir.

Trump lawyers met with special counsel ahead of possible indictment out of Jan. 6 probe
The federal grand jury is expected to meet at a federal courthouse in Washington Thursday

Lawyers for former President Trump met with Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team in Washington D.C. Thursday in anticipation of a possible federal indictment related to the investigation into Jan. 6, Fox News has learned.

The meeting took place on the same day that the federal grand jury was expected to meet at a federal courthouse in Washington, spurring speculation an indictment may be imminent.

As soon as Trump releases his tax records and an independently audited listing of his assets and liabilities I would love to do that.  I'm certainly not going to take Trump's word for it on his net worth.

GOP support for Trump softens as the former president's legal troubles mount

The pile-on effect of mounting legal charges against former President Trump may be starting to take a toll, according to the latest NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll.

Republicans and Republican-leaning independents saying they believe Trump has done "nothing wrong" dropped 9 points in the last month, from 50% to 41%.

Trump also dropped 6 points in support with that same group when asked whether they were more likely to support Trump or another candidate, if he continues to run for president.
