Three new capybara at Khao Kheow open zoo

Visitors to the Khao Kheow open zoo in Chon Buri province can now get a glimpse of three young capybara, which were born in the zoo on May 5th.

 

The zoo now boasts 14 capybara, including 10 female and four male.

 

Capybara is a giant cavy rodent native to South America. It is the largest living rodent and a member of the genus Hydrochoerus.

There's already plenty!

 

Interesting zoo.  Lots of deer and those capybaras.

 

Thankfully you can rent a golf cart to get around.  Plenty of snackshops and clean bathrooms.

 

Nicest zoo in Thailand.  Good for the kids, I actually don't care for zoo's.
