Has Thailand got a Moral Backbone.

Both Russia and China explicitly state that they oppose western countries whose political/social structures they strive to dismantle or dominate.

And in exactly the same words does America rail against communism and socialism. The number of countries America (for instance) has invaded  because it didn't like their politics goes on and on.

No offence but you don't seem to appreciate the desire of Thailand to maintain good relations with ALL sides.

Perhaps examine  why the Pentagon has no wish for America to acceed to the international court of justice.

Russia is a highly barbaric nation. And it is run by a serial killing despot dictator, who has stolen billions from his people. What is the West supposed to do? Stand by and watch him kill women and children like it was a sport?

I am thrilled they are helping to defend Ukraine.

This sounds suspiciously  like the  rhetoric that led to the Golf war to me.

You know, the Iraqis breaking in the hospital stealing the  incubators and throwing the babies on the floor, WMDs etc.

USA United States of Amnesia.

Yea, yea, , save your breath, I know, this one is different.

Every conflict is different.

But this conflict is more like WW1 and WW2 than Iraq.

The dance might be different but the music sounds suspiciously the same to me.

Like WW! and WW2 but with modern weapons,  WW3 is what I am afraid of , . Hopefully it won't get that far.

At this point the best we can hope for is a protracted cold war, that few of us will live long enough to see the end of.

Another real possibility is to see the  dollar lose its dominance as a world trade  currency.

US sanctions on  Russian  is making  many countries  very nervous that they could be next if they dont play ball , And with the rise of China countries will have to chose sides or somehow remain  neutral and wait to see how things play out,

Hence the emergence of the BRICS countries,

If Such occurrence is to happen we could see the value of the dollar nosedive. With at least for me negative conciseness. (My income is in Dollars)

"More than 40 countries have expressed an interest and, of those, 22 have formally asked to join, including Argentina and “all the major Global South countries,” he said on July 20. Saudi Arabia, Iran, Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates are among those interested, "

I am now 66 and all my life has been compromised by one war or another, Personally I am tired of it. If we are to survive as a species, History will not judge us well.

I just read an article," Fresh Ukrainian Troops send to the front" To which I immediately thought " More young lives into the meat grinder to satisfy the greed of old men"  Both Biden and Putin. I hope one falls out of a tall building and falls on the other . A win win situation IMO

I dont think that's correct.... The Philippines nor Vietnam are getting along with China.

No. They protected their national oil interests. Had absolutely nothing to do with morals.

Suggesting that Zelinsky and Putin are equivalents indicates very muddled thinking.

Maybe

but I don't see where I even mentioned Zelinsky. At most he is a minor player,

True it is really the equivalent of the US, Russia, China or India on every single level...

That's about as on point as comparing it to San Marino or Lichtenstein. A totally useless analogy.

Oh the conspiracy theory B.S. again. So predictable.

Yea dismiss anything one does not like as conspiracy theory.

It is simply a propaganda device to disqualify and dismiss

A cheap debating technique IMO

It's hard to imagine a more perfect fit for leader of Ukraine during this war than Zelinsky. He's the opposite of a minor player. Ukraine would have been doomed long ago without him.

The question has to be asked is do they realise what sanctions could start happening against a country supporting Russian involvement in Ukraine

The question has to be asked, do you realise that no countries are going to sanction Thailand for allowing Russian visitors?   If that happened all the other countries (i.e. most countries) would have to ban ordinary Russians from entry also. Allowing Russian visitors is not a declaration of "supporting Russian involvement in Ukraine".

I don't remember anybody invading Zimbabwe when Mugabe was slaughtering thousands of his own people...There's no oil in Zimbabwe though is there?

Well i Might as well ask the team to block this thread as your not interested in debating it instead your harping on about China or some long winded thread about

WW1 and 2 and of course America im surprised Biden's not been roped into it. I live in the UK there are no planes flying into England carrying Russians with there buckets and spades for the beach or in Greece or Spain there banned from flying in there too. To my knowledge no Iraqis or Afghans have been caught kidnapping kids or sending Tactical Nukes and positioning them in another country. Oh and i don't care where Saddam got his gas from all i know is he committed war crimes on his own people when he used them. Again nothing to do with this Topic.
