Chaeng Wattana or IT Square?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, anyone know if fines for late TM30 have to be paid at CW before going to IT Square to extend a 30 day visa entry? Usually I take all the paperwork up from the landlord (always late) to CW first and then pay it there. After that I go to IT Square to extend. However, this time, the landlord did it online via TM30 io site so I'm not sure whether an initial trip to CW is necessary or if I will simply pay the fine at IT Square.

If you have the screenshot of an online TM30 notification and take a printout of that with you, you should be good to go to get an extension of a visa exempt entry at IT Square Laksi.

It's important that the TM30 notification is for your current entry. They will send you away if you produce one that had been filed before you last entered the country visa exempt.

You've mentioned a fine, probably for late reporting? I don't think that would come up.

Please let us know the reaction at IT Square to the acknowledgement from TM30.io. A lot of people are interested in knowing if using this service is a safe alternative to direct notification of immigration.

I will be very surprised if that works.

The thing is at LakSi the doc check chick will want to see a TM30.

Most common for a 30 day extension will be screenshot from hotel in Bangkok.

My guess is that you be told to go away come back another day.

That email doesn't seem to mention the address, which is an important part. As @DrJack54 said, getting past the document check could be a challenge unless they're familiar with that.

The IO processing your application, on the other hand, can look up your TM30 notification in their system to verify you're registered at the address you write down in your application, so no problem there if you make it past the document check.

Hello fellas, the TM30.io seemed to be ok but the fact is they didn't even ask for proof of it. I didn't get fined either, but they also didn't fine me for the visa having already expired on Sunday. I'm wondering if because the place was so packed (presumably due to the long holiday), they were just hurrying things along. Not sure. But all I paid was the 1900 for the extension. Took forever but it could have been worse had they hit me with the full force of the fines, or worse, demanded a screenshot of the TM30. Anyway, thanks for your input on this. Much appreciated.

That is normal policy. If the immigration office is closed on the day your permission to stay expires, you are allowed to apply on the first subsequent day the office is open without penalty.

Okay. Just what this has to do with this topic is anyone's guess.
