Trump Challenges Special Counsel's Evidence Release in Election Case
The only confused people I see are liberals. They actually think Harris is qualified and would make a great president. Beyond confused. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
Hopefully, for those on an LTR visa, that the BoI statement in their marketing of the LTR visa, which on the BOI web site states: "Tax exemption for overseas income" is hopefully proven correct. There is a lot of debate about this in the LTR visa thread, and some on that thread are even saying (speculating is likely a better word) the opposite of the Expat Thailand statement based on their interpretation of Royal Decree 743 (which authorizes the LTR visa), ... where those with a different view claim that money (from the income of an LTR visa holder) is not taxable if it is brought into Thailand in the year it is earned, but money from previous years (after 1-Jan-2024) will be taxable. I am NOT one with that opinion. An unofficial translation of the Royal Decree for the LTR visa for Wealthy Pensioner and Wealthy Global citizen category reads: " Section 5 income tax under Part 2 of Chapter 3 in Title 2 of the Revenue Code shall be exempted for a foreigner categorized as a Wealthy Global Citizen, Wealthy Pensioner, or Work-from-Thailand-Professional who is granted a LTR Visa under immigration law for assessable income under section 40 of the Revenue Code derived in the previous tax year from an employment, or from a business carried on abroad, or from a property situated and brought into Thailand." Note that translation states the tax of assessable income from the previous year is (tax) exempt. It does not state the income is not assessable. So if income is assessable, it may be necessary to file a tax return, dependent on how one reads such. Further, a tax return is typically filed for income of the previous year, and NOT filed for income of the current year (CLEARLY NO ONE one files a tax return for the current year), so I believe that adds further lack of clarity. To say there is some uncertainty here would be IMHO a very accurate description. I find the "Expat Thailand" claim quoted interesting but I do not believe it dispels the confusion (rather it just adds to the confusion), as it provides no basis for their video statement other than that statement that is the interpretation of the "Expat Thailand" representative talking in the video. -

Those were the days.
How times have changed! There is little doubt the game has changed a great deal. Has it improved though? The days when footballers were asked to play three times a week, in mud up to their ankles, are indeed gone. The days when footballers were injured, but played on for the team, are gone. Some rules have changed too. There are now red and yellow cards and substitutions. And the constant fiddling with the offside law has led to many a controversy. VAR; don't even get started on that. That has certainly altered the beautiful game. But what hasn't changed is the pitch. Still the same shape. still the same markings. Eleven players on opposing sides, and three official, is still the order of the day. But those basics aside, the game in England is far different to yesteryear; but in different ways. Remember the orange ball? Rolled out, occasionally now, but at virtually every ground during a past season. They are now a collector's piece. And, if you have one autographed by some well known players - like Steve Gerrard - you are rich. Jack Kelsey played for the Gunners. In one match, a steward wandered over to him as he kept goal. Jack was astonished to meet the guy. And even more to hear what he said. ''Jack, the games been abandoned.'' True enough. He was the only player on the pitch. Couldn't happen nowadays. And here's the goalie in clearer view. ''What do you most recall about that day Jack?'' ''When I finally got to the dressing room the lads were all drinking mugs of hot tea. I got a cheer when I walked in.'' ''Who said he went up the pub!'' One of his team-mates quipped.' Poor light, snow, mud and atrocious conditions. Those were expected back then. Back in those days; rain was definitely wetter. A drop of the wet stuff didn't stop the games. In fact the only match I went to, that was abandoned; was at Brisbane Road when the lightening got a bit too violent; and close. Tom Finney showing off his water-skiing. Next post; ''Mud, mud, glorious mud.'' -

Save The Children Urges Action on Child Road Deaths in Thailand
Is anyone surprised? First it's to easy to get a drivers license in Thailand, second there are more deaths in traffic accidents per day in Thailand than during a year in Sweden, and third, traffic accidents are of a higher risk than covid-19 were or has ever been in Thailand. -

Trump Challenges Special Counsel's Evidence Release in Election Case
As is often the case in the prosecution of criminal enterprises in which multiple persons with close association to the crime ring leader are either witnesses to and/or participants in the indicted crimes. Perhaps even more so when the witnesses have justifiable reason to fear the reaction of a powerful indicted crimson enterprise leader.
