Surachet "Big Joke" Hakparn, led the ceremony to destroy confiscated firearms. Pol. Lt. Gen. Sompong Chingduang, Special Advisor to the Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, and other high-ranking officers were present, reported Siam Rath. Damrongsak Kittiprapas, Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, initiated the operation to dismantle illegal arms networks. The destroyed firearms, numbering 33,764, were sponsored by Millcon Steel Group. The National Police Headquarters had previously authorized the disposal of confiscated firearms, ensuring they won't be misused in criminal activities.
