The old made in England as you remark about Morris Garages is unfair they made some very reliable cars in there history.

MG Car Company became a standalone entity detached from Morris Garages in 1928.

What reliable cars did Morris Garages make ?

I thought he was spot on.  How many BMCs are still producing and how many have gone belly up, taken over, because intelligent people stopped buying their crap.

I would say how many BMC cars are around and are collectors vehicles which fetch a lot of dosh.

You comment is not fair IMO the bad was useless greedy UK management in the car industry.

I couldnt really give a stuff about their story.

Only the quality of the cars which has greatly improved since the Thai factory in Chonburi started putting them together. The old MGs were famous for breaking down and being full of rattles.

Tell me Trans, have you actually ever been in a new MG.

Or are you just making stuff up how you think they should be.

????..................The Chinese bought the MG name, sunbeam, they are Chinese from top to bottom. The MG pickup is bling'd Maxus T something.

My friend has an MG ZS, he bought a Mr. DIY cushion to sit on as it was uncomfortable, so yes I have been in one, and it is uncomfortable unless you are just going round the block..????

I don't think this motoring forum is for you, ol' chum....????

Yes it is, and why I stopped buying Detroit crap as my sole dependable transport, when living in USA.   Datson/Nissan & Mazda.   Even my Ford Escort was a rebadged Mazda.

I don't do the country/make allegiance thingy.  Give me the best value for my baht, and I'll buy it.

I left the USA ... nuff said

And yet, with my bad back, I can ride in ours for hours, unlike our Toyota & Mazda at the same price point.

???? so bliss.

The Morris minor bullet proof.

To commemorate manufacturing a million cars (the first time a UK British manufacture had ever built such an amount), BMC produced 349 million of these, 31 were sold to North America and Europe and the remaining 318 were distributed equally through the UK BMC dealer network resulting in one car per deal.

There are still over 2000 morris minors on the roads and used in England to this day.

So what you are saying is offering's by other brit companies were even worse and in turn drove up the morris sales !

Where did you get your fanciful numbers from... seems to me production totals was just over 1.6 million for the lifespan of the Morris Minor.
