Traffic violations rampant in Phetchabun exposed in viral video

The terrible driving habits of motorists in Phetchabun were thrust into the public spotlight following a Facebook video going viral. In a startling traffic violations revelation, the video displayed rampant disregard for traffic rules in the city.

 

The ten-minute clip, comprised of footage from a car’s dashboard camera, exhibited numerous motorists, including bicyclists, openly flouting laws such as cutting through red lights and turning without signals.

 

The video was reportedly uploaded onto a Facebook page yesterday, by a local who captured these rampant traffic violations on the journey to the Phetchabun Big C shopping centre. The uploader denounced this behaviour and stated it could lead to accidents and inconvenience others.

The reactions to the post of traffic violations quickly flooded in, and a torrent of comments bemoaned the frequency of such occurrences while demanding police sanctions for the violators.

How lucky I am not living in Petchabun..

This is unfortunately everywhere the same in Thailand. But if more of these clips go viral, this maybe help to reduce such misbehaviors. As I do not think police will do a lot for this... so public shame is still one of the biggest advantages to reduce such behavior.

Only in Phetchabun?? I think in whole Thailand there is nobody who know any traffic rule... Stopping in the middle of the road to go to a shop, turn on the road without watching is traffic is coming, no blinkers when turning of, driving through red lights, parking on zebracrossings( although they are red/white now)etc etc... but where is the police to enforce and teach the drivers...

Rules are more like guidelines.

You can place partial blame on the Thai driver.  Anyone who gets a driver's license knows the level of education, training and practice one must obtain to be considered Able to drive.

 

Maybe not capable, or qualified.  The lack of patrols and enforcement shows Thai people have different perspective about driving.  How many near misses, accidents or horns were blown because of the violations in the video?

 

Just another filler story to keep people entertained.
