“Sinlapachip Prathip Thai” OTOP fair 2023 opens at Impact, Muang Thong Thani

BANGKOK (NNT) - A grand event celebrating the wide range of OTOP or One Tambon One Product items Thailand currently offers is now taking place at Impact exhibition and convention center in Nonthaburi. “Sinlapachip Prathip Thai” OTOP fair 2023 witnessed an impressive opening ceremony, where the highlight was a fashion show featuring Batik fabrics that have been modernized.

 

Interior Minister Gen. Anupong Paojinda presided over the opening of the “Sinlapachip Prathip Thai” OTOP fair 2023, which highlighted Thai fabrics and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother’s contributions to sustainable occupations for the Thai people. The fair’s opening was attended by a large number of government officials, foreign diplomats, OTOP business representatives, and the general public.

 

The fair was held to increase distribution channels for OTOP products made in various communities nationwide. In addition to helping elevate the quality of life for people in OTOP-producing communities, The products are believed to help strengthen communities and reinforce Thailand’s overall economic security, prosperity, and sustainability.

 

One key activity at the fair was a fashion show that presented the uniqueness and identity of Batik fabrics which have received a modern touch.

 

Activities at the Sinlapachip Prathip Thai OTOP fair are divided into 8 zones. These included a zone for exhibits honoring Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother, a zone for exhibits honoring His Majesty the King, a zone presenting the activities of the Support Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand, a zone for the sale of fabric products, a zone for the sale of non-food OTOP products rated 3 to 5 stars, a zone for the sale of products by OTOP artists, a zone for OTOP food and drinks, and a zone for health and spa products as well as massage booths.

 

A total of about 2,000 booths offering some 7,200 OTOP items are available at the event. Sinlapachip Prathip Thai OTOP fair is taking place until August 20 at Challenger Halls 1-3, Impact Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani.
