All i see is impatient locals driving without helmets.

Where else can I rent an apartment with a swimming pool for AUD 400 a month? Same apartment in Melbourne would be AUD 500 - 600 per week

thats cos the average wage is 10 times what it is in Thailand.

Dont you get it? Higher wages = higher cost/higher quality of life.

There is a reason Thailand is cheap.....

Bored and pissed off in Pattaya in 1994 bought 4 music tapes, never looked back. Best times of my life have been associated with Thai music from dating twin Nok Noi dancers, going to parties at singers homes and going on trips with some of them, still keen 1200 concerts later, off to see Cham Cham Ram today, would never have considered living here without the music. Luktung/morlam is the dogs balls????

stuff like this doesnt happen here according to neeranam.

them glasses must be strong!

High incidence of drug use, especially yaba, depression, poverty, fathers not held accountable for children made, or absent altogether, makes for a lot of unhappy people. Beautiful country with some really nice people, but not a lot different than others with problems.

One school shooting, 1 other mass murder. in my lifetime!

In 2023 in the USA, more mass shootings than days!

https://abcnews.go.com/US/mass-shootings-days-2023-database-shows/story?id=96609874

Bizarre!

Like I said, most Americans are on drugs, 60% of adults on prescribed ones and more on illegal ones.

Thailand is ultimately safer than the US.

A good example of someone with no conscience, that shouldn't breed. A toy being worth more than your own child shows very disturbed thinking.

Saying most Americans are on drugs, not realizing most are on prescribed or OTC drugs to combat illnesses, makes it sound like they're all addicts. Heart disease, depression, fibromyalgia, kidney ailments, cancers, et al, all require drugs to keep people going. Same here. Drug crime here rivals anywhere else. Not just America where it happens. Driving here is more dangerous than almost anywhere on earth. Human trafficking is very high also.

No waiting lists for healthcare? I go to a private Hospital in Pattaya and there's still long waiting involved, public hospitals you'll wait all day.

I go to a private hospital in Sriracha, practically zero wait other than nurses shuffling paperwork and escorting me to specialists.

No, the majority are on psychoactive medications.

Suicides are way way higher in the US than Thailand

Illegal immigration is HUGE in the USA, with many drug cartels coming in.

No illegal immigration in Thailand bar the guys who pay agents to buy a visa by bypassing immigation requirements.

1 out of 6 isn't a majority. Illegal immigrants are here also, as many as 5 million in 2005 and counting. Trafficking in children and women coming from other countries is high. Suicide percentage in USA is 1.7% in 2018, Thailand is 8.8% in 2019.
