johnbarpic
Can anyone recommend a good Water Pump/Plumber specialist. In Pattaya Nongprue/ Darkside area. When my water tank is low and the village mains water is not supplying the Tank. The pump goes into a recirculation mode and will not shut off until the water tank is full again activating the ball cock valve inside the tank. Then the water pressure switch activates an shuts off the pump. I need someone who understands Thai, Tank water pump systems any help would be much appreciated. bbko
Are you looking to take the pump into a shop yourself or for someone to go to your house? If taking the pump to a shop, in the past when I had water pump problems, I've used this place on Pattaya Klang, near the Rung Reung Bus station. repair shop on the side of the building. https://www.google.com/maps/@12.9489975,100.9040999,3a,75y,62.38h,84.38t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sNEz_gBmBpC55yMmWD2Khlw!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu Edited August 30, 2023 by bbko

Bill97
Does the pump connect to a well? Any changes or work on the system recently?
Ben Zioner
Looks like the pump doesn't have dry run detection, either by [lack of] design or due to malfunction. Could you indicate Brand/model/year we might be able to find out if has dry run detection. What do you mean by "recirculation"?

jacko45k
Either the pump needs to be turned off if the water in the tank is very low, or the check valve, which should prevent the pump back feeding the utility inlet/ storage tank is not closing. I actually put 2 check valves in series, plus a few hand valves so that I can prevent the latter.
