With the success of the The One for Nature initiative in 2020, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has unveiled The 2nd The One for Nature project in its continuous efforts to promote responsible tourism in Thailand.

The 2020 project embodied the concept of Travel with Responsibility in Thailand, and aimed to spotlight Thailand’s sustainable tourism and safeguard the nation’s abundant natural resources.

The resurgence of this project offers travellers the opportunity to immerse themselves in more abundant natural surroundings once again after natural sights across Thailand have rejuvenated and restored their natural beauty.

LOL.  So after four decades of abuse these natural environments have fully rejuvenated in the two years of covid.

Delusional.

Perhaps someone at the TAT can explain to me how a coral reef that takes thousands of years to form can fully rejuvenate in 24 months.

What did drop during covid was the fecal coliform count along Thailand's tourist beaches.  But excrement is directly proportional to tourist numbers of course.

'Thailand launches second edition' - I missed the 1st; remind me.  Does this 'responsibility' include Thais who slash & burn thousands of acres on a twice-a-year basis?  Who fondly allow packs of wild dogs to pollute their sois & bring down motor bikes with fatal consequences?  Are the police encouraged to take black-smoke emitting vehicles off the roads?  I thought not!
