So do you, along with most Thais, believe that the left hand lane, hard shoulder is a motorcycle lane?

And the pavement, if there is one...although mostly they are falling apart in Pattaya.. still well used in Bangkok.

Yes, it's one of the more serious actions that's allowed to continue in Thailand.

Even the cops do it. how sad is that.

Ps  would have given you a like

for your post

but i'm not allowed to do that anymore. :cheesy:

I got in an accident recently a young Thai girl made a turn in front of me and we collided.  I called the cops and they escorted us to the police station.  There, they found her at fault and they made her pay me for the damage to my motorbike.

I enjoy riding it sure provides a lot of freedom and I have been to and seen places I otherwise would not have. But, you really need to be aware of everything, head on a swivel, wait a few moments at intersections as many run red lights, and on busy roads I stay to the left.  Obviously,  no guarantees just try to ride defensively and always be aware of your surroundings.

Did your accident happen right in front of Centric Sea, on 2nd road ? I saw a farang get hit on a bike here...A Thai girl in a car hit a farang on a bike ...She was making a turn...
