Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, accompanied by some members of the Cabinet, met with people in a northeastern province of Khon Kaen today (Friday) and discussed drought problems.

This is his first provincial trip after taking the oath of office on Tuesday. His government will be fully functional after delivering its policy statement to parliament on Monday.

He led his entourage in paying respects at sacred shrines in Muang district at about 8.15am, where he was welcomed by villagers chanting “PM Srettha will make us rich.”

Such simple trusting people. Best not be believing those campaign promises.

According to my ex, all politicians are "Same Chavalit", which means they give you Bt500* for your vote and then make billions for themselves.

Hey Sretta, want some opinions?

1. Try doing something different. Appoint some ministers based on merit, accomplishments, background and skills. You will be astonished at how much difference it makes.

2. Resist the army goons, every chance you get. They are no good, and they care not one iota for the people.

3. Try, just try to do some things that benefit the people.

4. Be content with the fortune you have, and do not do this for the money, like the generals have for the past 9 years.

As we will soon see, the old adage meet the new boss same as the old boss will come to fruition.
