Kevin1908 Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 I am preparing a spread sheet that contains data and a person's name that is in Thai. I copy the name from another source but if I copy and paste is rubbish. This is with Calibri or Arial. Which spread sheet font will accept true Thai script?
London Lowf Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 (edited) I just tried to copy and paste a Thai script word from a website into one of my spreadsheet cells (formatted as Text, Calibri, 10 point) and it worked fine! I pasted into the formula bar and also straight to the cell - no difference. Edited September 12, 2023 by London Lowf

If it doesn't contain the character you want to display, it'll substitute an alternative of its own choice. You need to (a) install a Thai font file, and (b) select that font for the Thai text after it's pasted. If you go here you can pick your favorite font and download it to install on your device:https://fonts.google.com/?preview.text=สวัสดี&preview.text_type=custom&subset=thai¬o.script=Thai
Kevin1908 Posted September 13, 2023 Author Posted September 13, 2023 I installed Kanit onto the computer but how I get the spread sheet app to see Kanit in the list of available fonts? So I downloaded Kanit, extracted the compressed file and installed them. Seems I have missed something.
