The policy, which will take effect from September 25th to February 29th, 2024, will apply to visitors from China and Kazakhstan as announced by the Royal Gazette.

The tourists from the mentioned countries will be exempted from stamping and are allowed to stay within the kingdom of Thailand for a period not exceeding thirty days, as a special case.

Now speculate what the special attraction for the Kazakhstani is.

Due to TAT statistics about 100'000 in the first seven months from a 19 million country with a GDP of  about 10000 USD/capita.

Way more travelers than from all other neighboring countries except Russia.

I wonder why India was not included in 30-day scheme. That will trigger lots of freelancing Indian to visit and stay Thailand for 30-days.

Seems close to 900'000 until July is enough

Chinese about 1.8 million and they never get enough of them.

Exempt from stamping?

How will you know how long they've been in the country?

If they mean "stamped in under the visa exemption scheme", how does that make them a "special case"?

Top reporting as ever.
