I speak Thai. My gf is Thai. She doesnt have 13 smiles. No Thai Ive ever met does.

It comes from years gone by when the majority of Thai people were far less concerned with material wealth but seemed to be much happier with their lot. This era seemed to produce a lot more genuinely happy smiling faces everywhere here.

I’m from Hawaii and we’re called the “Aloha State”. On following up on that I learned that most countries are given their nick names by the tourist industry to draw tourists in. The people from that area aren’t even asked what their nickname should be. I’m 72 born, raised and retired in Hawaii but now I’m living in Thailand. I have plenty of Aloha (which means Love)!
