Popular Post webfact
On October 10, authorities in Uthai Thani, led by Police Captain Samruay Saman, apprehended Bangrat Kumar, a 38-year-old Indian national, for overstaying his visa. Kumar has been residing unlawfully in the Kingdom of Thailand since his permission to stay expired. Captain Samruay revealed that a thorough examination of Kumar’s travel documents and information technology systems disclosed his illegal status, reported Siam Rath. Kumar entered Thailand on December 16, 2014, and never applied for a visa extension. Initially moving to Thailand with the assistance of an Indian broker, Kumar made his living as a street vendor. He once had a Thai spouse, but they are now separated. Picture: Siam Rath Upon inspection of the records, authorities found that Kumar had overstayed by a staggering 3,168 days. As a result, he was arrested and charged for residing in the country beyond the legal period. The next steps involve the legal process and eventual deportation from Thailand. This incident underscores the ongoing effort by Thai authorities to monitor and control immigration, ensuring that all foreign nationals residing in the country do so legally, with valid visas and permissions, as part of the broader objective to maintain security and order. This gives hope for us all, especially as we get older and deportation seems less catastrophic.
