Four People Dead After Phang Nga Accident, Victims Were Going to Phuket

Phang Nga – Four people have been pronounced dead at the scene after a sedan lost control at a curve before careening across a central reservation and crashing into two large trucks on a main road in the Takua Thung district while they were heading to Phuket for a long holiday.


The Takua Thung Police told the Phuket Express that they were notified of the accident on Friday afternoon (October 13th) on the main Phet Kasem Road in front of a school in Baan Chiang Mai, Ka Lai sub-district. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find a damaged truck on the north bound lane. The uninjured driver, Mr. Sayan Matthawathi, 50, from Samut Prakan, was waiting for law enforcement at the scene.

 

Sixty meters away rescue teams found a trailer truck with the wrecked sedan embedded in the front of the trailer. The uninjured trailer driver, Mr. Pongsa Chaithom, from Phuket, was waiting for police at the scene.

 

All four occupants of the sedan were tragically pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident . The driver was identified as Mr. Poompat Woonciew, 29, from Song Khla, who was a nephew of the former Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew.

That says it all...

It says nothing, except he was a nephew of someone.
