It's over. They have elected someone I never heard of, Mike Johnson. His stated first order of business- supporting israel.

That is apparently of more importance than the financial crisis, the debt crisis, the southern border fiasco, Ukraine, America's declining respect in many parts of the world, etc.

Whatever the merits of my comment may be, at least it wasn't a cliché.

I think that the so-called moderate Republicans are going to be really sorry that they voted for Johnson. Their support of him should be a potent issue in the next election.
