Really? Silly me. I would have thought that the coups of 2006 which deposed Thaksin Shinawatra and 2008 plus let us not forget the coup of 2014 which deposed Yingluck Shinawatra might have convinced you otherwise. Unless of course you believe that Thaksin has been controlling the military since he was elected in 2000 and engineered his own removal in 2006. his subsequent trials, the fact that the TRT and the PPP were dissolved must surely be down to him as well. Do you also believe that he used the military in 2014 to depose his sister Not to mention his exile for many years. Was he still controlling the military all that time from exile in Dubai? 2 3

webfact
Appeals Court upholds acquittal of 21 former PAD leaders The Appeals Court upheld the Criminal Court’s acquittal of 21 former key members of the now defunct People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) activist group today. They were accused of laying siege to the parliament to prevent then Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat from delivering his policy statement in 2008. The 21 led thousands of protesters in an occupation of Government House between October 5 and 7, 2008, to protest against the government. The protesters later laid siege to parliament. According to the prosecutors’ charge sheet, the protesters threatened to kidnap the president of the parliament and the Senate speaker, forcing a number of senators to flee parliament. Some parliamentary officials were illegally detained by the protesters, who were also accused of assaulting police on duty at parliament. Actually they achieved as useful idiots exactly what the coup/junta wanted them to achieve. An excuse for yet another coup/overthrow that in turn allowed the usual pigs to once again belly up to the public trough & enrich themselves at the expense of the Thai People 3

They even obeyed the law and stood for election which is something that the military have NEVER done, All THEY do is simply have a military coup and steal the entire country for the benefit of the generals and the HI So's.

Yes, and at the time I said to the wife, who is paying for all those Styrofoam boxes of food for all of the protesters, they were a lot of protesters and an awful lot of empty boxes of food, she said it was her at the top of the ladder, so it is of no surprise that the case was upheld.
