Hi wonder if anyone can help me? My lady in TL whom I'm marrying in 2 weeks was trying to book a TB check for next week when she is in BKK, but they asked why she wanted one, and when she said she was marrying UK guy and coming to uk, they said wait until we are married because certificate must say her new married name on it for when she applies for visa! is this correct or were they just fobbing her off?? Thanks, Rog

I don't see any problem as long as the TB certificate identifiably relates to your wife-to-be. The certificate is valid for six months and if it's in her maiden name, then reference to the marriage certificate will show your wife and the person who underwent the TB test to be one-and-the-same.

Anyway, your wife is not obliged to assume your surname upon marriage, so it's a strange statement for them to make.

Scouse.
